Toumani Diakite

Toumani Diakité's route to the Czech First League ran through Latvia. The Ivorian midfielder, formed in the youth ranks at AFE Abidjan, joined BFC Daugavpils in March 2025 before Slovan Liberec signed him that September for a fee reported at around €200,000. Over the following season he became a regular in Liberec's midfield, making 21–22 league appearances and scoring twice.

In June 2026, Diakité and team-mate Ange N'Guessan were part of a multi-player transaction that sent both to Slavia Prague on contracts running until 2031, while Slovan Liberec received Alexander Bužek outright, Vasil Kušej on loan with an option to buy, and Jan Bořil on a free transfer. Slavia were reported to have paid around 250 million CZK — roughly €10–12 million — for the two Ivorian and French talents, with the deal's total value put at up to €12 million, described at the time as the largest transfer in Czech league history.

Diakité plays as a right-footed midfielder. He has not yet earned a senior cap for Ivory Coast.
