About the player
Tygo Grotenhuis is a product of De Graafschap's academy, having joined the club in 2014 after starting out at local side SV Concordia-Wehl. He worked his way up through the youth ranks, including a spell with Jong De Graafschap, before making his senior debut for the first team in the 2024/25 season.
Primarily deployed as a right-back or right wing-back, Grotenhuis has also played in midfield earlier in his development. In April 2026, he was part of the club's O21 side that beat Willem II O21 2–1 in the final of the Jeugdbeker at De Vijverberg, the first youth cup win for De Graafschap in 17 years.
