About the player
Tygo Land made his Eredivisie debut for PSV Eindhoven on 12 August 2023 — his 18th birthday.
Land's route to the top began at VV Peize, the club of his home town, before Heerenveen's academy took him in. He was a regular for Jong PSV in the Eerste Divisie and was named to that division's Team of the Season in May 2024. He was part of the PSV squads that won the Eredivisie in both the 2023–24 and 2024–25 seasons, and was registered for PSV's 2025 Johan Cruyff Shield win, though he did not come off the bench in that match. His progress had already caught wider attention: in October 2023, The Guardian included him in its Next Generation list of the best young players in the world.
Land has represented the Netherlands at U16, U17 and U19 level, scoring twice in 13 caps for the U17s. His clearest moment on the international stage came with the U19s, who won the 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship by beating Spain 1–0 in the final. Land was named to the Team of the Tournament for that campaign. In August 2025, he moved to Groningen on loan for the 2025–26 season.
