About the player
Angban came through the Chelsea academy after leaving Stade d'Abidjan's youth ranks in 2012, signing his first professional contract with the London club in 2015. He spent his development years out on loan — first at Sint-Truiden, then Granada, then Waasland-Beveren.
The move that stuck came at Metz, where a loan spell in 2018–19 turned permanent after the club exercised a promotion clause worth €6 million. That season Metz won the Ligue 2 title.
He returned to Sochi only for his contract to run out, and he left the club in August 2025. BATE Borisov signed him as a free agent in April 2026.
Internationally, Angban made his senior debut for Ivory Coast in 2015, having already come through the country's U-17 and U-20 sides. He has earned caps for the senior national team and was named in the Ivory Coast squads for the Africa Cup of Nations in both 2017 and 2019.
