Yaroslav Shevchenko

Yaroslav Shevchenko started out in the youth ranks at Shakhtar Donetsk before moving on to DVUFK Dnipro, and it was at Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih that his path took shape. He joined the club's U-19 side and worked his way up to the senior squad, and by September 2024 he had become a regular starter for the first team.

Shevchenko has since made his mark in the Ukrainian Premier League. He was named in the Team of the Round for the fifth round of the 2026/2027 season, and he has also opened his scoring account for the campaign with a goal for Kryvbas.

His form has not gone unnoticed at international level. Shevchenko received his first call-up to the Ukraine under-21 squad in May 2026, for a training camp in Slovenia, and he made his debut on 5 June 2026 in a friendly against the United States under-21s, starting the match as Ukraine went down 1-3. He followed that up with an appearance against Japan under-21s a few days later, and by July 2026 he had two caps to his name at that level.
