In May 2016 the under-19s went to the DFB-Junioren-Pokal final and came back with the trophy.
The academy sits inside a club that dates to 1896 and still answers to a nickname it did not earn from its own colours. Black, white and green are the registered ones; the red shirts the first team has worn for generations gave everyone Die Roten , The Reds.
The Eilenriedestadion holds 18,500 in total, but for Hannover 96 fixtures only 5,001 places are opened.
The clearest argument for the place is Waldemar Anton . Valmir Sulejmani spent eight years here from 2005 before Union Berlin and Kosovo. More recently Nicolo Tresoldi was sold to FC Bruges in 2025.
