Ankara's volleyball is built around one federation-owned complex. The Başkent Volleyball Hall in Beşevler seats 7,600 and belongs to the Turkish Volleyball Federation, the same roof under which the club's senior side has competed since it carried the name İller Bankası, before the 2011 rename to İlbank.

İlbank 2 has none of that lineage behind it. There is no separate founding date attached to it, no honours list, no identity beyond the shirt.

Its fixtures against sides such as Manavgat Belediye Spor, Eregli Bld. Women and Gaziantep Merinos Women read as the ordinary business of the second division rather than as rivalries with any weight of their own. The club has not been asked to turn on anything spectacular, and results have not made it a name spoken of on its own terms; it remains, three seasons in, exactly what it was set up to be.

7,600 is the number that defines the ground it borrows. For the team itself, the only number on record is one: the single season, 2022/23, from which its history is counted.
