They play at Estadio Jaraguay, known until December 2015 as the Estadio Municipal de Montería, built in 2012 for 8,000 people and expanded to 12,000 in 2017 with a new stand on the eastern side. That 2017 season remains the club's high point in the top division — fifth in the Apertura, eighth in the Finalización, enough for eighth overall and a first crack at the Copa Sudamericana, where Uruguay's Boston River ended the run 3-0 on aggregate in the opening round.

The sky-blue shirts have earned the club its nickname, La Celeste de Colombia, and on the coast it is Sabaneros as often as Jaguares. What the shirt has not yet done is settle into a fixed rivalry the way older Colombian clubs have — Montería's football is still working out who its natural opponent is, and for now that argument runs largely against the other sides of Primera B, where Jaguares have spent more of their history than in the division they once reached.
