Kysucké Nové Mesto

Štadión Kysucké Nové Mesto holds 5,000, though only 1,800 of those places are seated. White shirts and red trim have carried the club through a history spent almost entirely below Slovakia's top flight, shuttling between the third and fifth tiers rather than settling anywhere.

The club's one appearance near the top came in 1972–73, when it won the Czechoslovak 3. Liga's group C and went up to the second tier for the following season. That promotion remains the high point of a history otherwise built from lower-division survival.

More recently the club has had to climb back up from further down, taking the 4. Liga SsFZ North group twice, in 2018–19 and again in 2021–22, each time earning promotion out of the fifth tier. Local matches against FK Čadca and MFK Bytča have supplied whatever rivalry the region offers.

What the club has never done is win the Slovak Cup or reach the Niké Liga: founded in 1948 as ŠK Slovan Kysucké Nové Mesto, before it settled into the name it plays under now.
