Odranci

The pitch at Športno rekreacijski center Odranci holds 1,000 people, with 270 seats under a covered stand — a scale that fits a village ground rather than a stadium in the usual sense, and it suits a club that has spent most of its existence in the lower tiers of Slovenian football. Odranci were founded in 1973 and have stayed amateur ever since, playing in blue and white, with a pale turquoise change kit worn away from home.

Their record is built almost entirely in regional and zonal competition. Odranci won the Pomurska liga, the fourth tier, in 2004/05 and 2005/06, then again in 2024/25 — that most recent title bringing promotion to the Third League East. It was the second time the club had reached that level: an earlier promotion followed a Third League East title in 2010/11, repeated in 2014/15. Neither spell carried them further, into the second or first tier, but each run through the regional leagues gave the club a period at a higher level than its size would suggest.

Odranci have never produced a player who made his name through the club, and no nickname has stuck in the way it has elsewhere. What the club has had, in recent years, is borrowed pedigree: Klemen Pučko, formerly of Mura and the Slovenia national team, played on there, and Dejan Nemec, once Slovenia's goalkeeper, worked with the club's keepers. Neither came up through Odranci's own ranks — they arrived with reputations made elsewhere and lent the small ground a little of that history.

The club still turns out on the same ground it always has, in front of the same limited rows of seats, in the same blue and white it has worn since 1973.
