Parvoz

Two clubs share the north of Tajikistan, and only one of them carries the airport's name. When Parvoz meet FC Khujand, the fixture goes by the northern Khujand derby — a city match.

That ground was won quickly. The club started life in 2001 as Aviator Chkalovsk, named for the town it came from, and by 2003 it was finishing third in the Tajik championship. It stayed third the next two seasons, took the Tajikistan Cup in 2004 with a 5:0 win over Uroteppa, and then went one better in the league: runners-up in 2007 and again in 2008. The second cup came in 2007, this time by a single goal against Khima.

The name kept changing through those years — Aviator Bobojon Ghafurov in 2004, Parvoz Bobojon Ghafurov a year later, and since 2017 the full title has included Khujand International Airport.

The 2008 season belonged to Numonjon Hakimov. The striker finished as the championship's leading scorer with 30 goals, in a side that came second. Farhod Tohirov turned professional at the club a year earlier.

Then a long absence from the top, ended in a lower register: Parvoz won the Tajik second division in 2023 and went back up to the first.

Home is the Furudgoh stadium in Ghafurov, 5,000 seats, the green and yellow of the club on the pitch in a town that used to be called Chkalovsk and is now Buston.
