Pergolettese

Winning the Serie D group in 2018-19 put Pergolettese back into professional football, and Matteo Contini was the coach who got them over the line. The reward carried further than promotion: the side reached the semi-finals of the Poule Scudetto, the national play-off among Serie D group winners, where Avellino beat them 3-0.

That was the second such promotion in six seasons.

Crema is a town in the province of Cremona, and Pergolettese share it with AC Crema. The two also share the Stadio Giuseppe Voltini, which holds 4,100.

The shirt has stayed recognisable through all the name changes: yellow with a blue band, worn diagonally or straight across, blue shorts and socks. Hence Gialloblu.

Giorgio Veneri took two turns in the dugout, 1976-80 and 1990-92, and he remains the name the club's older supporters reach for first.
