«Die Wiehenelf»
The Häcker-Wiehenstadion opened in 2011 and it holds 3,140 — 1,489 of them seated. The ground and the club's climb share a cause. In 2009 Horst Finkemeier, of the kitchen manufacturer Häcker Küchen, began funding the senior side; between 2010 and 2014 SV Rödinghausen won five promotions in a row, from the ninth tier to the Regionalliga West.
The senior club's colours are green, white and black, and the nickname — Die Wiehenelf, the Wiehen Eleven — comes from the hills above the village.
The A-Junioren play in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga West, which puts a club from a village on the same fixture list as Borussia Dortmund, Arminia Bielefeld and VfL Bochum.
The one national run came in the DFB-Junioren-Pokal in 2025/26, when they reached the semi-finals.
