Slapanice B

No fixed derby has taken hold around the reserve side of TJ Sokol Šlapanice. Matches against nearby sides such as Volejbal Brno and Drásov come and go as ordinary league business.

What the club has instead is a pipeline. Slapanice B itself competes in the Czech 1. Liga, one level below the country's top flight.

Tomáš Hampl passed through here on his way elsewhere. The outside hitter, born in May 1990, is listed among the club's alumni before he moved on to Slavia Hradec Králové.

Home games are played in a small hall on Nádražní street that holds just 100 people. No senior honours attach to the club's name, and none were claimed.

The formal founding meeting followed on 15 May that year at the municipal inn Radnice, where 59 people signed on as members, long before volleyball itself became the section that carries the name forward.
