Barel Stadium

Nof HaGalil, Israel

Formerly: Green Stadium, George Meany Stadium

The pitch has carried a spectator stand since 1965, when it opened under the name George Meany Stadium — a tribute to the American labour leader that stuck for close to four decades before local usage settled on Green Stadium in 2004. That name lasted another twenty-one years. In December 2025 a six-year sponsorship agreement with the Barel real estate group, worth 1.5 million shekels, put the ground's third name on the gate.

The rebuild of 2019–2020 brought capacity to 5,200, replacing an older bowl that had served the ground's tenants since the 1960s. A synthetic training pitch sits on the southern side, alongside the main natural grass surface, giving clubs based here a second surface for work that would otherwise chew up matchday turf.

Two clubs share the address on HaHatzav Street: Ironi Tiberias calls it home, and Maccabi Haifa has used it as well, an arrangement not unusual for a mid-sized Israeli ground built well before the country's football map settled into its current shape.
