Estadio Sudamericano Félix Capriles

Cochabamba's ground was carved out of the old Laguna Cuéllar, a lagoon that people once used for leisure before the city decided it belonged under a football pitch instead. Construction started in 1935 and pulled on labour from Paraguayan prisoners of war. The doors opened in 1938, though the works were not truly finished until 1944, and the ground took its name from Senator Félix Capriles.

Its defining afternoon came in 1963, when Bolivia beat Brazil 5-4 here on the way to the only South American championship the national side has ever won. In 2016, on the 53rd anniversary of that title, the city added "Sudamericano" to the name, and the ground has carried it since. A reconstruction in 2017-2018 prepared it for the South American Games, whose opening ceremony in May 2018 drew a crowd of around 40,000.

Jorge Wilstermann and Aurora have both called it home over the years, and for the 2024-2025 season San Antonio de Bulo Bulo moved in as tenants after their own ground failed to meet tournament standards. The venue also hosted matches at the 1997 Copa América, and in September 2023 it put football aside for a night when the Andean group Kala Marka staged a concert there with more than thirty performers.
