The Falkirk Stadium does not hide in the hills or sit beside a river.
The ground itself was not built as a complete package. The first phase, the main stand, opened in July 2004, funded by the sale of the club’s previous home, Brockville Park. The surface reflects that piecemeal history. It began as natural grass, but the pitch was replaced by a GreenFields synthetic pitch in June 2013. That surface was fully replaced in 2023 with a new FIFA Quality Pro certified system. The undersoil heating, installed for the original turf, is no longer used.
Falkirk FC remain the primary tenant. The ground has also hosted matches for Queen’s Park and, until June 2025, East Stirlingshire. The latter moved back to Ochilview Park after Falkirk’s promotion to the Scottish Premiership required a natural surface. The attendance record of 7,926 was set on 19 May 2017, when the club played Dundee United in a Scottish Premiership Play-off semi-final.
