Sports Center on Kosukhina Street, 25A
Kursk, Russia
The ground on Kosukhina Street is not a stadium in the traditional sense. Built between 2017 and 2018, it opened to the public in February 2019.
The main feature is the indoor hall with bleachers holding 160 to 162 spectators. The surface of the outdoor mini-football pitch is artificial turf, distinct from the cinder running tracks that run alongside it. This is a working facility, not a monument. Shortly after opening, the Mayor of Kursk ordered the contractor to fix defects such as a leaking roof and poor flooring quality.
The main tenant is the professional women's volleyball club Atom-Kursk, which uses the complex for training and hosts its home matches in the PARI Superliga there. Previously, the venue was used by women's mini-football teams such as Kuryanochka and the youth academy of the Avangard football club, but these teams were displaced in late 2023 to make way for the volleyball club. The venue is not the home of the professional women's football club Zvezda-2005 or the men's football club Avangard Kursk, which plays at Trudovye Rezervy Stadium.
Inside, the boxing hall and gym remain active spaces for local sports activities. The capacity figure of 162 is cited in various sources, though one source mentions new tribunes for 600 spectators in a general context. The club's website lists a capacity of 350 for a different arena in Orel.
