Khan-Tengri

The Khan-Tengri Stadium is not a monument, but a working ground situated on the campus of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty. It occupies a modest patch of land at the end of Al-Farabi Avenue. The facility was constructed in 1986, though the current iteration, following a major renovation completed in June 2024, presents a unified look.

The pitch itself is artificial turf. It is not a venue for major international matches; the largest event recorded here was a Kazakhstan Cup 1/8 final in 2025. The capacity is fixed at 3,000 seats, a number that has not changed since the recent upgrades to the lighting and changing facilities. The stadium is owned by the university but managed by the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism.
