N1 Völlurinn (Hlíðarendi)

Locals still call it Hlíðarendi, whatever the sponsor board over the entrance says. Valur built the complex in two stages rather than one: the indoor hall, for the club's basketball and handball sections, opened first, in September 2007, and the outdoor pitch followed the next spring, in May 2008.

The name has moved with the sponsors three times over — Vodafonevöllurinn until 2015, Origovöllurinn from 2018, N1 Völlurinn since a five-year deal signed in January 2024 — but none of the rebrands have pushed out Hlíðarendi or Valsvöllur, the names still used around Reykjavik. The artificial pitch sits under floodlights with a single covered stand, kept modest in scale and run day to day by Valur itself rather than by the city.

That has not kept European football away. St Mirren and KF Vllaznia both came through in 2024, Bodø/Glimt in 2021. Valur's women's team and the local club KH share the same pitch with the men's side, while the basketball and handball sections keep the hall next door busy when there is no football on.
