The pitch is natural grass. It is a feature that has lasted longer than expected for a stadium of this level, where many grounds have switched to artificial turf.
During the 2008–09 season, the capacity was stretched. Temporary seating was added to the three open banks to accommodate the crowd that came to watch the promotion play-offs against Villarreal B. The stadium was filled to capacity for the first time in its history, though the club lost 1–2.
The club has also played matches in the Copa del Rey here. They lost 0–3 to Cádiz CF in the 2024–25 tie and faced Eldense in the following season. Non-football events have occasionally taken place, including a professional boxing gala scheduled for May 2026.
The stadium was originally known as Nuevo Estadio de La Victoria or Estadio Municipal La Victoria. In July 2026, the name changed to Caja Rural La Victoria after a sponsorship agreement with Caja Rural de Jaén. The contract is set to last four to five years.
