Orbita

Orbita went up as one of two training pitches built for the 2018 World Cup. It played its part on 3 July 2018, when a friendly against Chertanovo Moscow served as the ground's first fixture — by then the tournament itself had already moved on.

What Orbita does now is cover for its bigger neighbour. FC Kaluga treat it as a standby ground, stepping in for Second League and First League fixtures across the 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons whenever Sputnik's 1,500 seats weren't available or needed work. The rest of the time it's a training base and a venue for youth tournaments — a supporting ground rather than a home one.

The record crowd tells you what kind of numbers this is: 486 people watched Kaluga lose 0-2 to Bryansk's Dynamo on 5 May 2023, and the 2022/23 season averaged 446. With 750 seats and an artificial pitch, Orbita was never built to hold much more than that.
