SK Metar-Sport
Chelyabinsk, Russia
Formerly: Stroitel Urala, Chelyabmetallurgstroy
There is a quiet permanence about the SK Metar-Sport complex in Chelyabinsk. It sits on Cherkasskaya Street in the Metallurgsky District.
It is a place for the people who live here, for the futsal club MFK Yuzhny Ural and the volleyball team Dynamo-Metar who call it home. There are no famous matches played here, no records set, no legends born.
FC Chelyabinsk may have played matches here back in 2004 during their Second Division days, but they moved on to the Central Stadium. This complex has never been the main stage for professional football in the region. The lights come on in the evening, the players arrive, and the game begins. That is all there is to say about it.
