Sokolovna Na Květnici
Prague, Czechia
Sokolovna Na Květnici is not a stadium. It is a sokolovna, a building operated by the Sokol movement, located in the Nusle district of Prague. Constructed in 1925, the structure stands at Na Květnici 700/1a. It serves as the home for TJ Sokol Nusle Praha, which has changed its name several times since its foundation in 1888, most recently restoring its original identity after the Velvet Revolution.
The venue is an indoor sports hall with a capacity of 180 seats. That figure is confirmed by the Women's Basketball League of the Czech Basketball Federation and the Czech Basketball Federation itself. The space hosts basketball, volleyball, and table tennis. It is not a football ground; no soccer club calls this place home.
The building also contains Restaurant Na Květnici. The dining area opens onto a terrace shaded by chestnut trees.
The club’s history is one of adaptation. From 1948 to 1954 it was known as TJ Sokol Rudé právo, and from 1954 to 1990 it operated as TJ Slovan Orbis. The current name reflects the return to its pre-1948 identity. The building itself has never changed its name; it simply bears the name of the street on which it sits.
There is no official website for the venue. Information about the facility comes from federation records and local historical blogs.
