Sportovní hala Rudolfov

Inside, the space is a single, long rectangle defined by its artificial surface. There is no natural grass here, only the synthetic coating that holds the lines for multiple games. The capacity is small — 50 standing, 50 sitting — and the seating is minimal. It is a place for the local teams, for the women’s volleyball sides that play in the lower leagues, and for the floorball matches that fill the winter evenings.

The hall is barrier-free, the ramps leading in smooth and unbroken. It is managed by the municipality, a functional room for sport rather than a monument to it. It is not the main football ground in Rudolfov; that pitch lies elsewhere, on Třeboňská, with a different surface and a larger crowd. Here, the focus is on the indoor games, on the noise of shoes on synthetic material, on the tight corners of the court. It is a working hall, built for the community, with no pretension beyond its purpose.
