The team did not exist under that name until March 2021. It grew out of SK Hlincovka, a club based in nearby Hlincová Hora that had lost its licence to play in the 1. liga and dropped into the regional league. Jiří Rohlíček and Milan Šimonek took the squad through the rebuild, and by the 2022/2023 season Volejbal Rudolfov, as the new spolek was called, had earned promotion straight back to the tier it had fallen from.

Hlincovka's old youth sides had shelves of trophies to show for their work, Czech titles among Younger Girls and a national cup for girls included, but none of that silverware travels with the senior team that now plays as Rudolfovky. What moved with the split was the playing base, not the honours board, and the club has yet to win anything as an independent entity.

They train and play at the Sportovní hala Rudolfov, and their most regular test in the league comes from VK České Budějovice, known as Madeta, the nearest sizeable city club and a fixture on their 1. liga calendar. Younger age groups also cross paths with Volejbal Tábor and TJ Slovan Jindřichův Hradec, though none of these meetings carries the weight of a named derby.

For now the job is straightforward: having survived the fight to stay up, Rudolfov go into the next 1. liga campaign looking to build past mere retention.
