Sportovní hala Třebovice

Sportovní hala Třebovice sits at the corner of Kochova 5649, a new structure that replaced the old gymnasium of Jednoty Orel Ostrava-Třebovice, which had reached such a critical state it could no longer be used. The building measures 27 by 45 meters with a 13-meter ceiling, but its defining feature is the vinyl surface laid to replace the old wooden floor. It opened in January 2024 with a school tournament, though the architect PROJEKTSTUDIO EUCZ and contractor HSF Systém SK s.r.o. were working on it for two years before then.

The fixed grandstand holds 200 people, which is all it needs for its regular users: local clubs such as Sokol and Orli, SK Slavia, the firefighters, and Čtyřlístek centre for people with disabilities. Black Volley Beskydy moved their home matches from Frýdek-Místek to Třebovice for the 2024/2025 season, giving the hall a team in the Czech Extraliga. The university runs physical education classes there, and a modern gymnastics club has taken a room.

There are 19 car parking spaces plus two for disabled persons, a rainwater collection system that waters the adjacent SK Slavia football field, and fencing around the closed area. The facility also includes changing rooms, shower facilities, a common room with a serving kitchen, a reception area, storage for sports equipment, and toilets including an accessible WC. The City of Ostrava paid 81.387 million CZK for the work, and the venue won the 'Stavba roku 2024' (Building of the Year 2024) award. Blue Volley Ostrava, z.s. operates the facility and runs the website halatrebovice.cz.
