Ostrava's men's volleyball club plays in the Czech Extraliga under the name Black Volley Beskydy. The club operates within a wider setup, Volley Beskydy.

Before reaching the top flight it had already worked its way up through the lower tiers, taking the second division in 2018 and the third division back in 2016.

Matches against VK Ostrava draw more attention than the rest of the calendar, billed locally as the Ostrava derby. Home games are played in front of a capacity of just 200 at the Sportovní hala Třebovice.

Michal Provazník coached the side through its cup-winning campaign before handing the bench to Tomáš Široký in 2025. Among the players who have carried the black shirt, Jiří Benda is the name most associated with the club.
