The men's team plays in the 1. liga, the second tier of Czech volleyball, and a run to the Final Four of the Men's Czech Cup, the Chance Pohár, in 2024, followed by a third-place finish in the 1. liga in 2025.

The club grew out of a 1966 merger of two Hradec Králové sides, TJ Žižka and TJ Slovan, and volleyball has been part of the combined organisation, TJ Slavia Hradec Králové, from that point. It now counts more than 400 members and stands as the largest volleyball club in the region. The women's section reached the Czechoslovak top flight once, playing in the Extraliga in the 1993–1994 season.

That development shows in the honours list: cadets won the Czech Cup in 2018 and 2019, and the cadette and junior categories took the title three years running, from 2014 to 2016. Further back, Czechoslovak championship wins came in older boys in 1973, older girls in 1975, and senior girls in 1983 — spread across three decades and both sexes.

Matches are played at the Sportovní hala TJ Slavia on Víta Nejedlého, a hall with roughly 2,700 square metres of floor space, among the larger sports venues in the country; it hosted the 2022 U17 European Women's Volleyball Championship, where attendance ran up toward 800. The players and supporters go by Slavisté, and the club colours are red and white.

In the 1. liga, promotion form draws the sharpest attention from clubs already established in the Extraliga, the teams Hradec Králové would have to overtake to make the step up.
