Marko Regža

Marko Regža joined Fortuna Düsseldorf's academy in 2010 before moving on to Schalke 04 two years later. The German experiment did not last: injuries interrupted his development, and at fifteen he returned home to restart his career in Latvian football.

He worked his way up through FK RFS and loan spells, including a productive run at BFC Daugavpils, where he scored seven goals in fifteen appearances during the 2020 season. A short stint at SK Super Nova followed before he signed with FC Riga as a free agent in 2022.

At FC Riga, Regža became a fixture of the attack. He finished the 2023 season as the league's second-highest scorer, with 19 goals in 34 matches, and followed it with 18 goals the next year and 16 the year after that. Across three seasons in Riga's colours he scored 61 goals in 120 appearances.

His performances for the club earned him a place in the Latvia national team, where he made his debut against Turkey in June 2023 during Euro 2024 qualifying. He has since gone on to make 18 appearances for the senior side, though he has yet to open his scoring account at that level. Earlier, at youth level, he had already shown a knack for the spectacular, scoring a hat-trick against Hungary for the Latvia under-19 side during Euro 2019 qualifying.

In January 2026, Regža left Latvia for the first time as a senior professional, joining FC Hradec Králové as a free agent after triggering an option in his contract with FC Riga. The move made him the Czech club's first winter signing.
