Sports Complex "Pobeda"
Barnaul, Russia
The Sports Complex 'Pobeda' sits on Anton Petrova Street. Built to mark the sixtieth-fifth anniversary of the Great Victory, it opened with a ceremony in January 2010. Heavy use has worn the surface flat in places, and the complex now lays a special French Teraflex covering over the boards for volleyball matches.
Inside, the capacity holds eight hundred spectators. The space is not built for the open sky. It hosts basketball for BC 'Barnaul', who play in the Superleague-1. It also stages mini-football matches, including stages of the Russian Cup (SportmasterPRO). No football club has claimed it as a regular home ground; that work is done at Stadion 'Dinamo' or Sports Complex 'Temp'.
The indoor arena remains the centre of attention.
