Stadio Città di Meda
Meda, Italy
Formerly: Stadio Città di Meda
The ground sits on a patch of land that remembers the old ICMESA factory, which collapsed into the soil here in 1976. What the rubble left behind has become a quiet football venue in the Bosco delle Querce park. Stadio Mino Favini carries the name of a local man who ran the town’s sports administration before he died in 2019; the honour came a few years later, in June 2023.
The pitch itself is a generous rectangle, stretching 105 by 63 metres, and it has always been natural grass. There is no room for many spectators, only 2,500 seats arranged along the sides, which keeps the crowd close to the action. The place does not host one team but three: the men’s side of AC Renate, who play in Serie C, the local club A.C. Meda 1913, and the women’s team Real Meda.
The stadium has seen matches that sit outside the ordinary rhythm of town life. A NextGen Series fixture brought Inter Milan Under-19 against Borussia Dortmund Under-19 in September 2012, a game Inter won 1-0. More recently, AC Renate stayed in the Coppa Italia Serie C after drawing 1-1 with Juventus Next Gen on October 29, 2025, then held their nerve to win 4-3 on penalties.
On quieter days the ground serves the community in other ways. The 'Sagra del Pesce', a Fish Festival, takes place on the same earth, turning the sports field into a gathering space for locals.
