The pink concrete of the Městská hala Vodova is the first thing you notice. It is not a football ground and it is not a new arena. The building is a plain block with a gabled glass canopy over the entrance and a metal truss jutting from the roof. The name is painted in large letters across the upper wall. A blue banner for the Euro Floorball 2015 Tour hangs below, showing a ball and the flags of the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland.

It is an indoor sports hall, opened in 1975, with seating for 2,900 spectators. The capacity is confirmed by the official website and by sources in the futsal league. The building was expanded in 2001, though the exterior does not show the work clearly. The Bulldogs Brno basketball team plays here as its primary tenant, having moved in 1993, and the hall also hosts volleyball, floorball and boxing. It staged matches of the 2010 FIBA World Championship for Women.

The entrance door is marked "Vstup / Entry" in white letters on a dark sign. Cars are parked on the paved forecourt in front of the steps. A tall yellow residential tower is visible behind the building to the left. The address is Vodova 336/108.

The playing surface is a basketball court, not grass or turf. There is no football stadium in Brno with a capacity of exactly 2,900; the main football stadium, ShipEx Aréna, holds over 10,000. The figure 2,900 is also associated with Stadion Vladimíra Dostála in Olomouc, but that is a different city. The venue’s coordinates are 49°13'39.415"N 16°35'2.14"E.
