Unyp Arena
Prague, Czechia
Formerly: Arena Sparta
Opened on 1 May 2008, the arena was built on the site of a former inflatable hall belonging to RC Sparta Praha. Since that opening, it has hosted a variety of indoor sports, from floorball and futsal to volleyball and handball. The configuration changes to suit the event: 3,000 seats for general gatherings, but the space shrinks to 1,200 for volleyball matches and 1,300 for floorball. During the 2023/24 Champions League season, volleyball matches drew crowds of over 2,500, filling the stands more completely than the smaller format events.
The identity of the venue shifted in September 2019, when a partnership with the University of New York in Prague led to the renaming of Aréna Sparta. Ownership remains with the City of Prague, while operation falls to Association Club Sparta Praha z.s. The ground has hosted international fixtures, including matches for the 2018 World Floorball Championship and the 2016 European Indoor Hockey Championship. It has also seen the Superfinále florbalu in 2021 and the Real Boxing Cup Final in 2022.
