Al-Rayyan managed three shots on target with perfect accuracy, while Qatar registered eight shots on target at fifty-three percent efficiency. The hosts made zero blocked shots, whereas the visitors saw seven shots go off target.
Recent form adds context to this result. Al-Rayyan arrived unbeaten in five, including victories over Al-Faisaly and Al-Ahli Doha. Qatar, meanwhile, had not won since their draw with Al-Wakrah in August, suffering defeats against Al-Ahli and Al-Sadd.
The draw leaves both teams with one point from their opening fixture. It is early in the group stage, but the result suggests neither side has a clear advantage coming into the competition.
