Forward Madison and Charlotte Independence shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw during the Group Stage of the USL League One on Saturday evening. J. Skinner opened the scoring early on, only for R. Carmichael to level matters in the second half. The result keeps both sides within touching distance at the top of the table by then.

Skinner struck in the eleventh minute to give the hosts the early advantage, and they looked comfortable for much of the opening period. Charlotte responded after the break, with Carmichael finding the net in the fifty-eighth minute to set up a tense finish.
