The Cardinals beat the Golden Eagles 38 to 28 in a regular-season NFL match on October third, 2026. It was a straightforward affair where the visitors showed enough to close out the game. The scoreline told you all you needed to know.
The Golden Eagles had come into this one on a run of three wins. They had beaten the Bengals 68 to zero back in September and taken the Hawks 37 to eleven twice. That kind of form makes you think you have something special.
The Cardinals were on a better run by then. They had beaten the Saints 30 to ten and the Saxons 33 to fifteen on two occasions. They knew how to put points on the board when it mattered.
and here's the thing, the final score reflected that difference. The Cardinals scored ten more points than their hosts, which is not nothing in American football. The margin was enough to separate two teams who had been playing well.
to be fair, the Golden Eagles had every chance to stay in this. Their recent record showed they could put away opponents comfortably. But the Cardinals refused to go away and made it count.
