Giants Re-Sign Jameis Winston and John Runyan
New York locks in its backup quarterback and starting left guard on new two-year deals, with Winston set to back up Jaxson Dart in 2026.
The Giants have re-signed quarterback Jameis Winston and left guard John Runyan on two-year contracts.
Winston, 32, gets $13 million and stays in New York through the 2028 season. He will back up Jaxson Dart this year. Last season he appeared in three games, starting two, for 567 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Runyan's deal is worth $22 million, with $21.5 million guaranteed. He was due to play out the final year of a three-year, $30 million contract and remains the Giants' starting left guard.
Winston has played in the league since 2015, starting 89 games for the Buccaneers, Saints, Browns and the Giants.
