About the player
Danique Tolhoek began playing football at four years old with VV Kapelle. At 13 she moved on to JVOZ in Vlissingen. In 2021 she stepped into Ajax's youth structure, joining Jong Ajax Vrouwen, and helped the reserve side to the championship in the 2022/23 season.
She signed her first professional contract with Ajax in August 2023 and made her senior debut the following month. She finished as the league's top scorer with 19 goals in 22 matches in the 2024–25 Eredivisie Vrouwen season, earning nominations for both the Eredivisie Women's Player of the Year and the Johan Cruijff Talent of the Year. On 30 June 2026 she left Ajax for Eintracht Frankfurt Women, signing a three-year contract running to 30 June 2029.
She is the second all-time top scorer for the Dutch under-19 side, with 27 goals, and was part of the squad that reached the final of the 2024 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship. She made her senior international debut on 28 November 2025, coming on as an 84th-minute substitute in a 2–1 friendly win against Portugal in Braga.
