About the player
Jordan Mendes Correia's breakthrough moment at FC Versailles 78 arrived on the pitch rather than in a squad list: a bicycle kick against Chamois Niortais on 26 March 2023 that was later named Goal of the Season in the Championnat National. He had made his senior debut for the club on 12 May 2023, at 19, and went on to make 48 league appearances for Versailles, scoring three goals.
Mendes came up through the Versailles academy before establishing himself in the first team. In June 2025 he left on a free transfer to join Rodez AF, signing a contract running until 30 June 2028.
Mendes holds dual French and Cape Verdean nationality and has opted to represent Cape Verde at international level. He made his senior debut for the national team on 30 March 2026 against Finland, a match that finished 1–1 before Cape Verde won on penalties. That appearance stands as his only cap to date.
