About the player
Katja Snoeijs turned professional at SC Telstar in 2015 and did not take long to make herself known: in the 2016–17 season she finished as the Vrouwen Eredivisie's top scorer with 21 goals. A free transfer took her to VV Alkmaar in 2017, where she repeated the feat the following season, scoring 25 times to top the charts again. That scoring record carried her to PSV in 2018, and two years later to Bordeaux in France.
In July 2022 she joined Everton on a free transfer, a spell that stretched to 85 appearances and 20 goals, including a brace in the FA Cup during the 2023–24 campaign. During the 2024–25 season she was diagnosed with endometriosis. In July 2026 she agreed a three-year contract with Ajax Women.
For the Netherlands, Snoeijs made her debut in November 2019 in an 8–0 win over Turkey and has since earned 38 caps and 12 goals. She also scored the first-ever goal for the Netherlands' under-23 side, and produced a hat-trick against Kosovo during Euro 2022 qualifying.
Across her career at club level, the individual accolades have not yet been matched by team silverware: Snoeijs has not won a league title or a cup with any of the sides she has represented.
