About the player
Lu Zhiyuan came through the youth ranks at Henan FC, formerly Henan Songshan Longmen, spending time with the club's U21 side from 2022 before being registered with the senior squad. His best statistical return there came in the 2024 season, when he scored seven goals in 20 matches for the U21 side in the CFL youth league, the clearest marker of his development in Henan colours. A loan spell followed at Yanbian Longding in the China League One in 2025, where he scored in the Chinese FA Cup before returning to Henan that July.
What came next was a rapid sequence of moves rather than a settled spell anywhere. Lu joined Xiamen Feilu, then left as a free agent for Lanzhou Longyuan Athletic within the same year. He has since appeared for Rizhao Yuqi, featuring in the Chinese FA Cup and League Two.
Lu has yet to add a major honour or individual award to his record. For now, his profile rests on what he showed at youth level in Henan and the goal he found for Yanbian in the cup, with his role at Rizhao Yuqi still taking shape.
