S. Diaz

Sebastián Díaz, known in Chilean football as "Huaso", spent almost the whole of his career at Deportes Temuco before arriving at Deportes La Serena. He joined Unión Temuco in 2013 and moved into the Deportes Temuco squad the same year, staying there until 2022. In that spell he scored three goals. The high point of those years came in the 2015–16 season, when he won the Primera B title with Temuco.

A loan to Audax Italiano in 2018 gave him a taste of a different dressing room, though he returned to Temuco afterwards to see out the bulk of his contract there. When his long spell at the club ended, he moved to Universidad de Concepción for the 2023 season, making 15 appearances before signing for Deportes La Serena in January 2024 on a free transfer.

Before any of that, Díaz had already worn the Chile shirt at youth level, with four caps for the under-17s in 2013 and three more for the under-20s between 2014 and 2015. That under-20 side took him to the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and he also found the net at the L'Alcúdia International Football Tournament. He has not featured for the senior national team.
