Ajax København Women

KI brought the pedigree: seven Danish championships won between 1936 and 1954.

The team plays out of Bavnehøj-Hallen, a hall holding a thousand spectators, and wears red and black. Recent seasons have tested the club hard. The men's side went bankrupt in October 2022 and dropped to the 3rd Division, leaving the women's team to carry on as its own concern. That team has moved between the Damehåndboldligaen and the 1. Division, and the 2023–24 campaign ended in relegation from the top flight after a season without a single win.

A handful of Faroese internationals have worn the shirt in recent years, among them Rakul Wardum and Brynhild Pálsdóttir, alongside Danish youth internationals such as Anne With Johansen. On the men's side, Ajax now shares its elite ambitions with FIF Håndbold under the joint HC København project.

There is no fixed rival carrying a name of its own, but Ajax's women measure themselves against Copenhagen's other clubs, København Håndbold chief among them.
