Al Musannah

The club dates itself to 15 January 1972, and everything about its record since sits in the second tier more often than the first. The one season worth pointing to is 2010–11, when Al-Musannah reached the Oman First Division League final and lost it to Sur SC on penalties after the match itself finished goalless. Losing the final still carried them up: promotion followed for 2011–12. The Elite League did not keep them long — 11th out of 12 sent them straight back down, and the club has moved between the divisions since without settling in the top flight.

Youness Ouganna, a Moroccan forward, finished that 2011–12 top-flight season as joint-top scorer with five goals, and Mohammed Al-Ghassani wore the shirt the same year on his way to two Asian Cup appearances for Oman. Right-back Ahmed Al-Quraini came through a couple of seasons later, from 2014 to 2016.

In July 2023 the financial strain the club had been carrying caught up with it, and Al-Musannah pulled out of every Oman Football Association competition for the 2023–24 season.
