Promotion to the Belarusian top flight came in 2025, when Baranovichi won the First League. They had gone up from the Second League in 2003, then done it again in 2014, taking their group and the final round before returning to the First League.
In the 2024 season, with the club still a division below the top, Baranovichi drew an average of 1,240 spectators a match.
They play at the Gorodskoy Stadium on Lenin Street. It holds around 3,000 supporters. The red and blue the team wears has stayed constant while the name has not: over the years the side has run out as Lokomotiv, Pishchevik, Tekstilshchik and Khimik. No nickname ever stuck. In the press and among supporters it has always simply been the town's name.
The club dates to 1945.
