Mutalip Alibekov came up through CSKA's academy, not Dynamo's, but when the club's youth side took shape again in 2021 he was one of the first names written into it.

The senior club traces back to 1927, when it began life as a Dynamo sports society in Makhachkala; the under-19 side that plays under its badge now is a newer thing, still finding its level. In 2025 it took part in its first season of the reformatted Russian Youth Football League, in Division B, and finished low in the table. Promotion followed regardless, and 2026 brings a first season in Division A.

Gamid Agalarov, another product of Anzhi rather than Dynamo, returned to the club in 2024; Serder Serderov and Idar Shumakhov, both with Anzhi connections of their own, had arrived the year before.
