That structure has paid off before — the U-19 group won the Youth Football League (YFL-1) in the 2019/20 season.

The academy's real currency is the players it releases upward. Nail Umyarov and Anton Zinkovsky both moved on to Spartak Moscow; Maksim Glushenkov went the same route into senior football before joining Krylia Sovetov. A flow that runs through Chertanovo's junior sides well before any of those names reach the first team.

The teams train and play at Arena Chertanovo, on Sumskoy Proezd, a compact ground holding 500 spectators — a number that fits an academy built for development rather than matchday crowds. The club rebranded in 2021, settling on blue and white as its colours. The nickname "The Devils" traces to the small horns worked into the crest.
