Galaxy

Galaxy Stadium holds barely 2,000, a ground scaled to Jwaneng itself, the diamond-mining town in southern Botswana that gave Jwaneng Galaxy its name and its colours, red and white. The club grew out of a merger between Jwaneng Comets and Debswana Youngsters, and it took the Botswana Premier League place it still holds after winning the First Division South in 2015.

Three league titles followed, in 2019–20, 2022–23 and 2023–24, alongside back-to-back wins in the Botswana FA Challenge Cup in 2024 and 2025. The bigger step came under head coach Morena Ramoreboli, who took Galaxy into the group stage of the CAF Champions League in 2021–22, a first for the club. They finished fourth in a group behind Espérance de Tunis, CR Belouizdad and Étoile du Sahel, but the appearance itself marked their progress.

Thabang Sesinyi carried much of that run, finishing the 2022–23 season as the league's joint top scorer with 23 goals.

Township Rollers, the country's most decorated club, have been the measure Galaxy keep getting checked against: Jwaneng finished runners-up to them in 2017, 2018 and 2019 before the title finally turned their way.
