Mönchengladbach Wolfpack, Aachen Vampires, Düsseldorf Bulldozer and the Cologne Falcons all sit within an hour's drive, and Bonn Gamecocks, Krefeld Ravens, Solingen Paladins are among the teams in the league.
The club that plays them formed on 27 November 1980 and took the field for the first time the following year. What followed was a climb back up the pyramid in stages: promotion to the Verbandsliga NRW in 2016, then the Oberliga NRW in 2018, the same year the club won the Wupperbowl. The Oberliga title itself came in 2022, alongside a further promotion to the Regionalliga West.
Home games are played at the Stadion Am Gelben Sprung, in front of a ground that holds around 4,000, with the team turning out in grey and black.
